Oregon Representatives to the 2021 U.S. Open Invitationals

Oregon will send five players to represent the state at the U.S. Open Invitationals, played alongside the 2021 U.S. Open, which is being played in Cherry Hill, New Jersey this year. These players are:

FM Shunkai Peng
37th Annual GM Arnold Denker National Tournament of High School State Champions. Shunkai qualified to be the Oregon representative by winning the top high school section at the 2021 Oregon Scholastic Chess Federation State Championship with a perfect 5-0.
Zoey Tang11th Annual Dewain Barber National Tournament of Middle School State Champions. Zoey qualified to be the Oregon representative by winning the top middle section at the 2021 Oregon Scholastic Chess Federation State Championship with a perfect 5-0.
Austin Tang2nd Annual John D. Rockefeller III National Tournament of Elementary School State Champions. Austin qualified to be the Oregon representative by tying for first in the top elementary school section at the 2021 Oregon Scholastic Chess Federation State Championship at 4/5 and winning the playoff to determine the Rockefeller nomination.

9th Annual WIM Ruth Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions. Neha qualified to be the Oregon representative by tying for second at the 2021 Oregon Girls Championship at 4/5 and being the highest finisher who accepted the invitation.
NM Wilson Gibbins4th Annual John T. Irwin National Tournament of Senior State Champions. Wilson qualified to be the Oregon representative by tying for first in the 2021 Oregon Senior Open at 4.5/5 and having the better tiebreaks.
