The Oregon Closed Championship will be held over February 13-16, Presidents’ Day weekend, at the Portland Chess Center, 2025 Lloyd Center, Portland OR, 97232.
There will be a players’ meeting at 6:15pm on Friday, February 13 for group photos and announcements. The rounds are scheduled for 6:30pm on February 13 and 10am and 4pm on February 14-16. Players who have a game go long can request extra time off before the next round.
The time control is G/100;+30 (game in 100 minutes with a thirty second increment starting from move one). All equipment will be provided. The games will be US Chess and FIDE rated.
Each player must pay a $50 entry fee which will be refunded to the player upon completion of all games without a forfeit loss. US Chess and OCF memberships through the dates of the tournament are also required. Please send your entry fee to Paypal [email protected]. The deadline for us to receive your payment is by the end of the day on Saturday, January 31. We will then have SwissSys generate the pairings and send them out to all the players on Friday, February 6.
